The transmission also contains personal letters to the crew; Chakotay and Torres learn that the Maquis was destroyed by the Cardassians and Dominion. Janeway learns that her fiancé, Mark Johnson, has married someone else. Tuvok learns that his first son, Sek, has gone through the pon farr, mated and had a daughter, named T'Meni after Tuvok's mother. Factoid: The Borg once encountered a ship of Species 5174, whose crew was slaughtered in a manner consistent with Hirogen ritual killing. Factoid: Tom Paris's father is Admiral Owen Paris.
