In order to avoid detection, the E.M.H. transfers his program into Seven of Nine's cybernetic implants, which gives him control of her body. The Voyager has completed its maintenance layover at a Maldorian station and is on its way to rendezvous with the Delta Flyer when Lt. Commander Tuvok begins suffering from the Pon farr, the seven-year Vulcan mating cycle; in the Emergency Medical Hologram's absence, Lt.
